FAQs
PageFramer is a Content Management System (CMS) that allows Administrators to easily manage content of a database driven website.
How do I get to the admin area of my website?
To get to the admin area of your website, simply go to your home page and add "/admin" (without the parentheses) at the end of your domain name URL (Example: http://www.[your-domain-name].com/admin).
This will direct you to the "User Login" page where Authorized Users can log into the website. If you do not have login access, please contact the site owner or the PageFramer Developer.

Why is my page locked in the Content Manager?
The page was locked because someone checked out the page for editing and is either not finished with the editing or they did not close out of the page correctly. Users with the appropriate authority can unlock the page by selecting the "Cancel Edit" text link. If a user is unable to unlock the page, they will need to ask someone with a higher level of authority (Publisher and/or Full Administrators) or contact the PageFramer Developers for assistance.
Should I put an SEO Description even though I'm not required to?
While you are not required to input an SEO Description, we do recommend adding an SEO Description to each page. This helps with search engine rankings for your website. If you need assistance with writing SEO Descriptions, please contact us for advice.
What's the difference between https:// and http://?
Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is the normal protocol used to view webpages on browsers. Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP. Basically, HTTPS creates a secure connection between the browser and the server by encrypting the data.
If you gather any sensitive personal data, such as Social Security Numbers, Financial Information, personal health information, etc., you should use an Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate to encrypt information between the server and a visitors browser.
The cost of SSL certificates vary, depending upon the level of protection you choose to pay for. Our basic SSL certificates cost $150, which includes installation. However, it really depends on the level of coverage you want to indemnify yourself, your company, or your organization against.
Note: The use of an SSL Certificate also requires a static IP address, rather than the shared IP address used by most sites on a single server.
